Special Sale Birds

From time-to-time we will offer some "Special" birds for sale. We are going to offer our direct Joop Koch birds this fall. Please read the following summary of these outstanding birds:

The Joop Koch Janssen are the complete package. These birds are not only incredible in the hand, but they are awesome on race day. One of the comments that stands out in my mind as I think about the Joop Koch family of birds was said by Serge Van Elsacker. As we were leaving Joop Koch’s loft in Eindhoven, Holland, Serge said, “If I didn’t know how well he flew, I would be scared to buy a bird from that man (Joop Koch)”. This was one of the greatest compliments I have ever heard Serge give of any other flyer. What Serge was saying about Joop Koch’s birds was that they were so incredibly perfect, that there is no way that they can also be good racers. However, these birds are not only good racers. They are some of the best in the world!

Joop Koch has an incredible race record in Holland. In 1999, Joop was 1^st National Sprint Champion and 1^st National Middle Distance Champion of All Holland. If that is not impressive enough, he also had the 1^st National Ace Sprint Pigeon, the 3^rd National Ace Middle Distance Pigeon, & the 9^th National Ace Middle Distance in 1999. To do even one better then that, the 1^st National Ace Sprint Pigeon and the 3^rd National Ace Middle Distance Pigeon were, in fact, the same pigeon. This incredible bird is the “Blauwe Favoriet”.

The bird that Joop Koch is probably most famous for is the “President”. Yes, that “President”. “Joop Koch” raised and raced the “President” & “Vice President” prior to selling them to Mike Ganus. Many people will raise a few fantastic pigeons in their lives. However, Joop Koch seems to have the talent to raise incredible birds, year in and year out. Joop Koch’s family of birds are typically best suited for short to middle distance racing (100 – 400 miles).

The birds that Double T Loft is proud to be offering is one that includes the best of the Joop Koch Janssen. These Janssen primarily go back to the birds of Wal Zoontjens. The birds that we have acquired from Joop Koch include a full brother of the “Blauwe Favoriet”, 2 sons of the “Blauwe Favoriet”, numerous birds down from the “President”, birds down from the “Blauwe Peronneke” (1^st from Peronne & the fastest of about 30,000 birds), and birds down from “De Belg”, the “04 Dochter Belg” and the “Lichte Orleans” (a foundation pair for Joop), as well as many other super pigeons.

"High Yield"

NL-01-2186033 "High Yield" is a grandson of the "Lichte Orleans" and a son of the "President's" full sister. There are sisters of the "President" and "Vice President" on both sides of the pedigree.
